About me

I have always had an interest in pharmaceutical drugs and chemistry, with their affect on the body. I figure that the best way to understand them is to take them and document your subjective effects and experiances.

will hopefully be doing a course in pharmacology soon

Thanks for your addition to the serotonin article. Please note, however, that cardiac fibrosis is caused by a very rare condition (gut cancer) that causes abnormal amounts of serotonin to be passed to the heart. The heart is regulated through serotonergic activity; that is, serotonin becomes cardiotoxic mostly through its abundance caused by rare conditions. It's like arguing that water kills people when they drink two litres at once, therefore water must be cerebrotoxic. Obviously that's not the case, it's always the balance that's important. -K
