Pharmahuasca is a pharmaceutical version of the entheogenic brew ayahuasca. It is one of many ayahuasca analogues known generally as Anahuasca. Traditional ayahuasca is made by brewing the MAOI-containing Banisteriopsis caapi vine with a DMT-containing plant, such as Psychotria Viridis. Pharmahuasca refers to a similar combination that uses a pharmaceutical MAOI instead of a plant.

Basics of Preparation

For pharmahuasca, DMT and harmaline are usually the active ingredients. However, combinations of harmaline, harmine, and DMT have been tested with success. As a rule, the fewer the β-carbolines, the less the nausea; the more DMT, the more spectacular the Visual effects. The constituents are put into separate gelatin capsules. The capsules with harmaline/harmine are swallowed first, and the capsule containing the DMT is taken 15 to 20 minutes later. The purely synthetic MAO inhibitor Marplan is suitable in place of harmaline and harmine.

Notes

  • A general rule for the dose taken of DMT in a capsule is NO MORE THAN 1mg per pound of body weight.
  • This is assuming that approx 100mg MAOI is taken first. Many people use half of this.
  • Take one DMT capsule containg half of the dose (for 150lbs. bodyweight, no more than 75mg DMT)
  • Wait ten minutes, this will reduce the likelihood of vomiting, then Take the DMT capsule containing the second half of the dose.

WARNING

This method of administration can easily be over shot by believing a small change in the weight of the dose will have little effect, the above dosage is considered to be a high one. Dosages vary from person to person, so a low dose, initially, is recommended.
