D-Limonene and vinegar "full spectrum" DMT extraction

Items needed

  • Two Large 900ml jars
  • Small jar roughly 200ml
  • 100g Mimosa Hostilis or Acacia Confusa per batch
  • 150ml D-Limonene per batch
  • 100g Sodium Carbonate
  • 50ml vinegar
  • Turkey baster
  • Razor blade or Card

Procedure

Step 1

Grind the rootbark as fine as possible and mix it into equal amounts of Sodium Carbonate or pickling/brewing lime. Sodium Carbonate can be obtained by baking household baking soda at 200 degrees for 30 min; this results in sodium carbonate from sodium bicarbonate, or you can just buy "washing soda" at the store which is just pure sodium carbonate, a stronger base than baking soda.

Step 2

After being thoroughly mixed, the root bark should then be added to the jar and then the d-Limonene should also be included in the pot, the lid is then placed back on, and the jar needs to be shaken. The jar then needs to be left alone for another 24 hours in a warm heated location. Remember to shake the jar every so often throughout the 24 hours.

During this step the d-Limonene slowly absorbs the DMT from the root bark.

Step 3

If this has been successful, a clear and separate layer of d-Limonene should be visible at the top of the jars liquid content. A turkey baster is then used to collect the d-Limonene and put into the 200ml jar. The d-Limonene should be quite orange in color, as d-Limonene is a full range extraction.

No brown liquid should be tolerated as this affects the DMT.

If the d-Limonene has a tint of brown orange, leave the d-Limonene to sit in the separate jar overnight, the brown liquid should then separate and should be removed before moving on to the next step.

Step 4

50ml of Vinegar should then be poured into the jar of d-Limonene and shaken vigorously until a deep orange color accumulates within the vinegar, the vinegar will separate and collect in the bottom as it converts the DMT from salt and into an acetate.

Step 5

Once the vinegar has sufficiently absorbed the DMT, pour off the d-Limonene and repeat step 4 until the vinegar stays clear. You should then pour all the collective vinegar into a large dish and allow it to evaporate. Placing the dish in front of a fan will speed things up considerably.

Once the DMT is then dried, it should be a sticky resin, this is a full spectrum extraction. It can either be dissolved with a solvent such as ethanol and combined with Banisteriopsis caapi leaf or it can simply be scraped with a clean razor blade or card and vaporized or smoked with the herb of your choosing.
