Background

I have gained extensive experience with many different stimulants in the past few years. This includes various amphetamines, research chemicals (such as traditional and substituted cathinones), and prescription pharmaceuticals that I have had for a considerable time. I procure lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse/Elvanse) through my recurring prescription. My other daily prescribed medications are 150 mg Venlafaxine (Effexor), 45 mg Mirtazapine (Remeron), 40 mg Pantoprazole (Protonix), 25 mg Promethazine (Promethegan) and 10 mg Zolpidem (Ambien). Note that no Promethazine or Zolpidem was taken this day, and no other substances were taken either. Setting is working from home.

Important: lisdexamfetamine is a prodrug of dextroamphetamine which is the actual psychoactive compound in this medication. The liver converts lisdexamfetamine to dextroamphetamine. This makes lisdexamfetamine pointless to snort. Please exercise harm-reduction techniques.

Report

T+ 0:00 - Ingested a 70 mg lisdexamfetamine capsule orally.

T+ 0:45 - First alert. A slight stimulating effect, and some bowel movement (a common side effect of lisdexamfetamine for me).

T+ 1:35 - Pupils noticeably dilated. The stimulating effect has now become apparent and my thoughts are more cohesive than prior to taking the medication.

T+ 3:12 - Focus has markedly increased and cohesive thinking abilities are improved. I am able to focus and get my work done much easier. The medication is crucial for my ability to work efficiently.

T+ 6:24 - The effects are no longer as powerful or tangible as they were earlier.

T+ 8:51 - The effects are manifestly milder and pupil dilation and responsiveness have seemingly returned to normal.

T+ 10:05 - Effects are now negliageble. The comedown however, is relatively soft and not very physically taxing (contrary to the comedown from cocaine or amphetamine in it's "speed" form). I would describe it as the substance slowly fading away, not the user coming down from - or falling away from - the substance. In other words, the comedown is more gentle and I do not feel the compulsive need to redose. In fact, I feel satisfied with the work I have accomplished and I welcome my chaotic mind back. I plan to relax for the evening.

Effects analysis

Overall, the effects can be likened to a small dose of amphetamine sulphate or "speed", maybe around 30 - 40 mg from my experience. The come up and comedown are much less intense. The effects take a long time to set in, and are therefore not as noticeable immediately. The comedown is much more gentle and cannot be compared to the "crash" otherwise experienced with amphetamine sulphate. The cognitive improvements are personally a life-saver and I could not live without them. An important thing to note, is that lisdexamfetamine can take up to 3 to 5 days of continuous use to reach it's full effect. Thus, your experience may be different from mine.
