____________

A psychedelic society is a group or organization of individuals interested in the education and exploration of psychedelic experiences. They are generally undirected and open for everyone, and may provide a wide range of events and activities. Common activities of psychedelic societies include discussing, raising awareness, and promoting research into psychedelic substances.

Psychedelic societies originate from the psychedelic counterculture of the 1960s. The term "psychedelic" is derived from the Ancient Greek words psychē (ψυχή, "mind") and dēloun (δηλοῦν, "to make visible, to reveal"),[1] translating to "mind-revealing".

Today, psychedelic societies can be found throughout the world, particularly in Europe and North America. The largest psychedelic societies are mainly found in major cities, but smaller psychedelic societies, often without dedicated websites and sometimes affiliated with larger societies, are usually located in other regions.
