Duration

I'm aware that Erowid states modafinil duration 5-10 hours, but it's clearly longer. On Tripsit.me it is 12-16 hours. Modafinil is one of the longer lasting stimulants. It is half S-enantiomer and half R-enantiomer (Armodafinil). In high doses duration is similiar to Armodafinil. --GZK (talk) 20:18, 14 January 2017 (CET)

First of all, a racemate does not necessarily convey properties of each enantiomer. The t_1⁄2 of Modafinil is 12 hours and of Armodafinil 15 hours. In addition to that, "high doses" of Modafinil are usually recreational and off-label. This becomes somewhat important when considering your edit of the Armodafinil substance box to match the therapeutic dosages: we are not a package leaflet, but an encyclopedia of both recreational and psychedelic drug use; the recreational doses are usually far less or far more than the therapeutic dosage range. In the case of Modafinil and Armodafinil you should be comparing the standard dose of 150mg Armodafinil with 200mg of Modafinil - and then Modafinil clearly is less pronounced in duration. Uh, but current Modafinil substance box match the therapeutic dosages 100-200 mg. I edited Armodafinil so it would match too (75-150 mg). Now it is 200mg modafinil = 200mg armodafinil. --GZK (talk) 22:34, 14 January 2017 (CET)

For harm reduction purposes I would keep max values higher because people report on forums 16 hour long experiences even with 100mg doses, but it's your choice. I won't edit anymore. --GZK (talk) 22:50, 14 January 2017 (CET)

Threshold dose

I would suggest that a typical threshold dose is much less than 25mg. I am making this suggestion based on a decade of experience with modafinil, where doses of 10mg are common.
